Using this site

You're welcome to read, print and share links to any guide for your own use. Please don't copy whole guides, tables or photos to another site, scrape the site in bulk, or present the content as your own. Product photos belong to the stores that publish them. Who owns the site is explained in the ownership disclosure.

Safety and your manual

These guides describe common procedures in general terms. Your softener's own manual comes first: valves differ, and a step that suits one model can damage another. Before working on a softener, put it in bypass, turn off the water where needed, and unplug the control valve before opening it. Drain connections, air gaps and changes to the main water line are often covered by local plumbing code; use a licensed plumber if code requires it or you're unsure. Chemicals such as resin cleaners and sanitizers should be used exactly as their labels direct. You do this work at your own risk.

Prices

Prices for parts and products are taken from the store's own page and dated October 2026. Prices and options change; the live product page is always correct if it differs from what we wrote.

The site is provided as it is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, the owner isn't liable for loss or damage from relying on these guides or from installing, repairing or using any product mentioned. Product warranties come from the maker or seller.

Changes

These terms may be updated when the site changes, and the current version is always this page. See also the privacy policy and accessibility statement.
